Terms of Service

These Service Terms and the TELUS Local Telephone Service Terms apply to your use of forborne Toll Restriction Service. Toll Restriction Service is provided by TELUS Communications Company.

1. Service Description
   Toll Restriction Service allows you to control access to message toll calls.
   
   
2. Service Features
   If you subscribe to individual residential line service or individual business line service, the outgoing toll restriction service feature allows you to prohibit access to the message toll network of TELUS or any other interchange carrier by blocking:
   (a) the initial digit “1” dialing code that accesses message toll services through direct distance dialing; and
   (b) the initial digit “0” dialing code that accesses long distance operator services of TELUS or any other interexhcnage carrier.
   
   If you subscribe to individual residential line service, the collect/third party toll restriction service feature allows you to selectively prohibit receipt of incoming collect and/or third party message toll calls transported over the message toll network of TELUS and/or the message toll networks of certain other telephone companies.
   
   
3. Service Restrictions
   Toll Restriction Service does not restrict other dial access to local directory assistance, TELUS repair service, access to the 3 digit emergency telephone number 9-1-1, access to the message relay service (MRS) operator i.e., calls to 7-1-1, or access to toll free numbers.
   
   
4. Service Limitation
   Despite the fact you subscribe to the collect/third party toll restriction service feature, if you accept a collect or third party call, you will be responsible for the associated charges
