Terms of Service

These Service Terms and the TELUS Local Telephone Service Terms apply to your use of forborne Call Guardian Service. Call Guardian Service is provided by TELUS Communications Company.

1. Service Description
   Call Guardian Service enable you to restrict the types of incoming telephone calls placed to or outgoing telephone calls placed from your telephone line.
   
   
2. Service Options
   Call Guardian Service provides the following restriction options:
   (a)“Toll Restrict” which restricts the type of long distance access business individual exchange service lines, business multi-line exchange service lines and residential exchange service lines have to the long distance message toll network;
   (b)“Third Number Deny” which restricts billing of third number billed calls to business individual exchange service lines, business multi-line exchange service lines and residential exchange service lines; and
   (c)“Collect Call Deny” which restricts billing of collect calls to business individual exchange service lines, business multi-line exchange service lines and residential exchange service lines.
   
   
3. Service Features
   The Third Number Deny restriction option and the Collect Call Deny restriction option restrict all third number billed calls and collect calls.
   
   
4. Service Limitations
   TELUS will bill you for, and you shall be responsible to pay, charges for all accepted collect calls and accepted third number billed calls which may, due to technical limitations, bypass TELUS’ restriction mechanism.
   
   Telephone calls to or telephone calls originating from Message Relay Centre equipment cannot be blocked.
   
   
5. Service Conditions
   TELUS will bill you for, and you shall be responsible to pay, service charges to deactivate each Call Guardian Service restriction option. If Call Guardian Service restriction options are deactivated concurrently, TELUS will bill you for, and you shall be responsible to pay, one (1) service charge.
