Terms of Service

These Service Terms and the TELUS Local Telephone Service Terms apply to your use of forborne Dataline Service. Dataline Service is provided by TELUS Communications Company.

1. Service Description
   Dataline Service provides you with low speed dial connection between compatible computers, modems (datasets) and/or telephone terminal equipment using an analog business individual line or network access trunk for access to the public switched telephone network.
   
   
2. Service Limitations
   Dataline Service business individual lines or network access trunks are conditioned to ensure that the line or trunk is capable of transmitting data at acceptable data transmission rates.
   
   
3. Your Responsibilities
   You are solely responsible for installation, operation and installation of terminal equipment you use with Dataline Service.  
   Any facilities and equipment you connect to TELUS’ network must adhere to applicable Industry Canada standards and applicable information found here.
   You shall supply, at no cost to TELUS, commercial power with suitable outlets.
   
   
4. Long Distance Charges
   If, in utilizing Dataline Service, you use TELUS long distance services and the long distance services are not subject to an agreement between you and TELUS, TELUS’ Long Distance Terms of Service available on TELUS’ Internet web site  here and the message toll schedule (as amended) available on TELUS’ Internet web site  here or on request shall apply and are incorporated by reference and form part of this Agreement, mutatis mutandis.
