Terms of Service

These Service Terms and the TELUS Local Telephone Service Terms apply to your use of forborne Directory Listing Service.  Directory Listing Service is provided by TELUS Communications Company.

1. Service Description
   Directory Listing Service provides you with the following directory listing and associated directory assistance services:
   (a)  non-published telephone number, which results in information relating to the telephone number not being included in a telephone directory and not being available from directory assistance;
   (b)  in British Columbia, business extra listing, which associates a telephone number with names or addresses in addition to those provided through the directory listings that resulted from a TELUS service; and
   (c)  in Alberta, non-listed telephone number, which results in a telephone number being available from directory assistance if requested but not being included in a telephone directory.
   
   
2. Service Conditions
   Despite any other provision in this Agreement, subject to the availability of facilities, any non-published telephone number from which a telephone call originates is furnished, on a call by call basis, to Provincial 9-1-1 Service and, if the non-published telephone number is located in a Call Management Service (“CMS”) equipped area, on a call by call basis, to customers of CMS call number display and to TELUS’ security department for customers of CMS call trace.
   
   
3. TELUS Responsibilities
   Despite any other provision in this Agreement, TELUS:
   (a)  will not be a party to controversies arising between you and any third party as a result of listings published in a telephone directory; and
   (b)  shall incur no liability in respect of continuation of your listing in a telephone directory after termination of services, where the continuation is not the result of any error or omission by TELUS.
   
   
4. Listing Information
   TELUS may limit the length of directory listings through the use of abbreviations.
   
   The listing information shall conform to TELUS’ practises with respect to directory listings.  TELUS reserves the right to remove any directory listings found to be contrary to law or to TELUS’ practises with respect to directory listings.  When you provide your proposed directory listing to TELUS or when TELUS becomes aware of any nonconformance, TELUS will inform you if any listing information or directory listings do not conform to TELUS’ practises.
