Terms of Service

These Service Terms and the TELUS Local Telephone Service Terms apply to your use of forborne Network Diagnostic and Maintenance Services.  Network Diagnostic and Maintenance Services are provided by TELUS Communications Company.

  1. Service Description
    Network Diagnostic and Maintenance Services provide network diagnostics and installation, special translation, remote testing and rearrangement of TELUS access arrangements to TELUS’ network and network services.

  2. Definitions
    In these Service Terms, “Service Demarcation” is a point either at a single location inside your premises or, if your premises are a multi-level building, at a single location where the service components enter the building.  You are responsible for all terminal equipment and connectivity required on your side of the Service Demarcation.

  3. Service Features
    TELUS may, in its sole discretion, use remote testing for your single line facilities.  TELUS will bill you for, and you shall be responsible to pay for, remote testing in 15 minutes intervals.

  4. TELUS Responsibilities
    When TELUS visits your premises to isolate a service problem, TELUS will:
    (a)  verify that the trouble exists in TELUS network facilities up to the Service Demarcation and undertake to remedy the trouble at no charge; or
    (b)  verify that the trouble is on your side of the Service Demarcation in which case TELUS will bill you for, and you shall be responsible to pay for, diagnostic charges.
    If the trouble is on your side of the Service Demarcation and you request TELUS to perform further diagnostic or repair services, TELUS will bill you for, and you shall be responsible to pay for, such services on a time and charges basis.

  5. Your Responsibilities
    TELUS will bill you for, and you shall be responsible to pay for, premise wiring and replacement parts.

    You are responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of premise wiring.

    You are solely responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of terminal equipment which is attached to, connected to, or used with TELUS’ network.

    Any facilities and equipment you connect to TELUS’ network must adhere to applicable Industry Canada standards and applicable information here.
    If you request that TELUS provide services on an overtime basis i.e., outside of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, TELUS holidays excepted, TELUS will bill you for, and you shall be responsible to pay for, a minimum of two (2) hours at TELUS’ then in effect premium rate.
