Terms of Service
These Service Terms and the TELUS Local Telephone Service Terms apply to your use of forborne Suspension of Service. Suspension of Service is provided by TELUS Communications Company.

Service Description
Suspension of Service provides you the ability to discontinue telephone service without termination of telephone service.

Service Conditions
The minimum term for the suspension of service is one (1) month. If your telephone service was suspended and is restored within one (1) month, for the time your telephone service was suspended, TELUS will bill you for, and you shall be responsible to pay, the regular rates that apply to your telephone service.
If your telephone service has been suspended, you must provide reasonable notice to TELUS to restore your telephone service.
If your telephone service is restored after the one (1) month minimum term but before expiration of the suspension period, TELUS will bill you for, and you shall be responsible to pay, the regular rates that apply to your telephone service from the date your telephone service is restored. TELUS will credit you for the unexpired portion of the suspension period for which you paid in advance.
If your telephone service is suspended, your listing will not be removed from the telephone directory.
During the time your telephone service is suspended, if the exchange in which your telephone service is provided is provisioned with equipment for intercepting calls, callers to your telephone number will be informed of the telephone service suspension.
If your telephone service has been restored after being suspended, you must wait at least one (1) month before you may request a subsequent suspension.
The maximum continuous period for suspension of telephone service is:
(a) 12 months for residential service; and
(b) 9 months for business service.
At the end of the period of suspension, regular rates for the services will apply.
If you are a residential service customer and your telephone service is suspended, calling cards issued to you prior to the suspension of telephone service will remain active during the time your telephone service is suspended.
If:
(a) you are a residential service customer;
(b) you request suspension of telephone service;
(c) you sub-lease your premises during the time of suspension; and
(d) your tenant applies for telephone service with TELUS;
to ensure proper billing of TELUS’ services to you and your tenant, you must inform TELUS of this arrangement when you request suspension of your telephone service.

Service Features
During the time your telephone service is suspended, you may have incoming calls to your telephone number referred to another telephone number.
