Solution

On February 1, 2007 Spin Creative, a brand new advertising agency, opened for business in Calgary.  However, before Spin Creative could begin operating from a basement office in the home of one of its partners, the company needed a full range of voice and data communications.

"We started doing some research online," says Wanda palmer, Owner and Senior Account Manager.  "That's where we found the TELUS Business One Bundle.  We looked into another provider for Internet service, but they just didn't offer the same sort of packages or value."

More than anything else, the owners of Spin Creative need to know that they can rely on their communications.  This was an important factor in their choice of TELUS as a provider.  "In our business, we custom-manufacture ideas and communications for our clients," Palmer explains.  "Everything we do is digital and our communications are all handled online and through email, so it's essential we're up and running at the time."

convinced that the TELUS Business One Bundle was the right solution for them, Spin Creative called TELUS.  when they described their needs, a TELUS account executive worked with them to help them make the right choices.  "I asked her to tell me about the Bundle and what the difference would be if we got separate services," says Palmer.  "She was extremely helpful, explaining that you can get additional services on top of the bundle.  She recommended the best solution and helped us choose the services we need in our bundle."

Spin Creative decided on three business phone lines for voice service, with a separate line for faxing and Internet connectivity.  Their Business One Bundle includes TELUS High Speed Internet service, with more than enough email addresses for their needs, domain name registration and Web hosting.

"TELUS registered our domain name for us as part of the deal, at no extra charge," Palmer says.  "Also, as part of their Web Hosting service, they make it really easy to design a Web site yourself."

After just four months in business, Spin Creative was successful enough to move to an office building.  Working with TELUS, they coordinated the transfer of their services to the new address, allowing them to resume operating after moving day, without interruptions.  Because they chose TELUS as their provider, there was no problem moving their Internet service from a home address to a business address.  The only change they had to make was to their IP address.  "We called TELUS and they helped us set it up over the phone," says Palmer.  She has found this attitude applies in all her dealings with TELUS.  "They're very helpful and try really hard to work with you.  Especially when it comes to someone like me who's not really techy, they'll walk you through things until everything's going the way it should."
