What are the common TELUS ePoint feature questions?
What is My Workspace?
My Workspace is a private workspace visible only to you. It allows you to store, secure, protect and manage private tasks, calendar events, contacts, and documents. It also gives you a one-stop consolidated view of all the tasks and calendar items that are relevant to you, regardless of where they reside within TELUS ePoint. For example, if someone assigns you a task in a Project Workspace, it will automatically appear in your My Workspace view.
How does Company Workspace compare to Project Workspace?
TELUS ePoint supports two distinct user types. Company Workspace users have been invited to your Company Workspace and can see information about your accounts, sales opportunities, company bulletin board and more. These users are typically employees or contractors to your business. Project Workspace users have been invited to an individual Project Workspace. They could be employees or contractors, but they can also be external stakeholders like partners, suppliers, clients, or contractors. When logged in, a Project Workspace user will see the discrete Project Workspace he or she has been invited to and a personal version of My Workspace for consolidation of events and tasks.
What is My Home Page?
My Home Page shows a summary of the tasks and calendar items that are relevant to you. It shows tasks that you create in My Tasks as well as any tasks that are assigned to you that are created in the Company Workspace and Project Workspaces. It also shows calendar items that you create in My Calendar along with any calendar items created in the Company Workspace and any Project Workspaces you belong to.
What is My Tasks?
My Tasks is your consolidated list of all the tasks and work you need to get done. My Tasks shows tasks that you have created in My Tasks directly, as well as any tasks that have been assigned to you from either the Company Workspace or any Project Workspaces. You can complete a task by checking it off in My Tasks and the record will be updated in the original source workspace.
What is My Contacts?
My Contacts is a private contact list that is not shared with anyone else. It allows you to store contact information and access it from anywhere you have an Internet connection. Contacts are not currently synchronized with Outlook or other desktop email clients.
What is My Calendar?
My Calendar is your consolidated calendar of all events that are relevant to you. It shows calendar items that you create in My Calendar along with any calendar items created in the Company Workspace as well as any Project Workspaces to which you belong. As a default, calendar events presented in your My Calendar view are also sent to you via an Outlook 'iCal' invitation that you can accept or decline into your desktop calendar. You can disable the automated outbound 'iCal' invitations by clicking on Settings and then un-checking this feature under Personal Settings.
What is My Documents?
My Documents is a private repository for files and documents, accessible to you from anywhere. You can upload or download files and documents as well as organize them into folders.
How secure is TELUS ePoint?
Every TELUS ePoint site uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology, which is used to help keep your confidential and private data safe. SSL protects information by transforming it (encrypting it) into an unreadable format. Only those who possess a secret key can decipher (or decrypt) the message into plain text. By convention, Web site names that use SSL start with https instead of http. SSL security is virtually unbreakable.
