The Challenge

Goldwing has been awarded a number of prestigious projects in and around Edmonton, including major auto dealerships, drug stores and soft drink bottling plants.

As a result of its success, Goldwing Construction needed to move to new, larger premises – and that, in turn, meant new, larger telephone capabilities. Hoping to avoid any delays or problems, Goldwing began planning for its new phone lines and equipment months in advance, selecting TELUS as their trusted provider.

The Solution

After consultations with TELUS, Goldwing Construction decided on leasing a Norstar Call Pilot system that would meet their needs for the next 10 years, and installing three phone lines and one fax line at the new premises. But it was in the period before their move that the company truly began to be impressed.

“Our Business Sales Consultant would call me just to let me know what was happening and to find out if I had any questions,” says John Schneider, Goldwing’s Vice President of Corporate Development. “Then she delivered what she said she would, when she said she would.”

Knowing that Goldwing could not afford to be without its communications for any length of time, TELUS arrived early on the move date and completed the installation by lunchtime. As arranged, a trainer arrived at Goldwing’s offices two days later and ensured that everyone quickly became familiar with the new system.
