How do I get started?
TELUS has developed a roadmap to help customers plan for and move towards Unified Communications.
The first phase is to consider Migration
This is about laying the ground work for Unified Communications, migrating from traditional voice systems to IP based systems.
Stat Pro Canada Inc. migrated to a fully managed and hosted TELUS IP-One Innovation, running over the TELUS MPLS network and achieved the following:
- It can now take advantage of leading edge IP telephony applications
- It did not need to invest in customer premise equipment or internal support resources
- Unlimited scalability
- Reduced costs

The second phase we call Unify
In the Unify phase organizations need to move towards integrating their communication tools, such as voice, video, instant messaging, conferencing, messaging and presence. Individuals and groups can more effectively control and manage inbound and outbound communication sessions through common interfaces.
Schenker Canada worked with TELUS to migrate to a converged network and achieved:
- Improved collaboration, and
- Reduced costs
