Setting up a Template

Account Administrators can configure the following settings on a user template:

  • Template Info – Allows you to edit the name of the Template. It also shows the name of who last edited it.
  • Emergency Address – Is the physical address where the desk phone will be used. It is the address that Emergency services will respond to in case a call to 911 is made.
  • User Hours – Defines the business hours of a user extension.
  • Connecting Message – Is the brief message that asks the caller to hold the line, while the call is being connected.
  • Audio While Connecting – Plays music while the call is being connected to an extension.
  • Hold Music – Is what the callers hear while waiting for the call to be answered.
  • Messages – Enable or disable an extension’s capability to receive messages. This is also where Voicemail Greetings are customized.
  • Outbound Caller ID – Is the number that reflects on the receiver’s end when making an outgoing call. Different Caller IDs may be set when making calls using RingOut, RingMe, Call Flip and Fax.
  • International Calling Permission – Allows you permit or deny extensions to dial international telephone numbers.
  • Notifications – Informs you regarding the new messages and missed calls.
  • Bandwidth Settings – Allows you to change the bandwidth usage of a deskphone or softphone for better phone quality. You can switch between High and Low. High Bandwidth gives you better sound quality, but calls can become choppy when it is not available. Low Bandwidth gives you lower sound quality, but ensures no interruptions during your conversation.
