  1. What is TELUS Shared Hosting? 
    TELUS specializes in Virtual Web Hosting which means that you can find a home for your website on our web servers and establish a presence on the Internet. We will register your own domain name for you which will become your unique address on the World Wide Web.
  2. What is EasyMail? 
    EasyMail is TELUS customized e.mail services that lets you manage your own e.mail addresses like yourname@mycompany.com for everyone in your company. We run it all for you from our network and give you access to our innovative EasyMail Wizard! Remote e-mail administration tools. The EasyMail Wizard! assists you with all aspects of running a corporate e-mail network. You can change your employee's Internet e-mail addresses, delete old accounts and create new ones, all from one simple interface.
  3. Would I be able to change and update my web pages on a regular basis
    TELUS is designed to allow you to update your page as often as you require. There is no charge for updating your web site. You have unlimited access via FTP, using your private id and password, 24-hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site any time you want.
  4. How long does it take to set up a new account? 
    New accounts are generally set up within 24 hours from the time we receive your order. Once an account is set up an activation notice will be sent to you via email including your user-ID, password, and FTP host name. You can begin uploading files to your new web site immediately.
  5. Can multiple domain names point to the same account
    Yes, TELUS customers may order additional domain names for their existing web hosting accounts. TELUS will handle the registration or transfer of the domain name(s) on your behalf. There is a yearly fee for each domain name pointed or re-directed to the existing account.
  6. Who is InterNIC? 
    The InterNIC is an independent organization responsible for holding the registration and routing of Internet domain names. If you choose to register your domain name with Network Solutions rather than TelusHosting, the registration fee is $70USD for the first two years and $35/year thereafter for your virtual domain name. The InterNIC will send you an invoice via email between 3 weeks to 1-1/2 months after the domain is registered.
  7. How do I place an order? 
    You can place an order for an account directly from our Web site 24 hours a day. All orders are received and processed immediately, and you will receive a confirmation as well as account information via email. Otherwise, you may contact a TELUS corporate accounts representative and they will be glad to assist you.
