Passwords and Security Questions are essential to your online account to maintain its confidentiality and privacy. In case of security breach or if a user forgot his/her password, you can always change this security information from your online account.

IMPORTANT: It is recommended that the password for every extension be reset every so often to prevent fraud, hacking and unauthorized use of the account.

To do this, follow the steps below.

NOTE: You need to be an account Administrator to perform this action.

Step 1:
Log in to your RingCentral online account.

Step 2:
Go to Settings > Phone System.

NOTE: If you are changing your own security settings as the administrator and not your extensions,click My Settingsinstead and go to User Details > User Password. Proceed to change your settings as in Step 5.

Step 3:
Click Users then select the extension that you wish to modify.

Step 4:
Click User Info > User Password.

Step 5:
Under User Password, fill in the following fields:

NOTE: Administrators will no longer need to know their extension user's current password when changing password in the online account.

• Current Admin Password
• New Password
• New PIN
• Security Question

NOTE: Your new alphanumeric password needs to have least one (1) letter, number, special character, and 8-32characters long. You can also create a PIN to use as accesss to your account from a phone. It should be 6-10numbers.

NOTE: You also have the option to change your extension's Security Question and Answer. To do this, click on the drop-down list to select the security question and fill in the answer field.

Step 6:
Confim your entries and click Save.

Step 7:
Under User Info, click User-added image again to complete the changes.

You have now changed the User Password of an Extension as an Administrator.
