BlackBerry® Z10 4G LTE - How to add or delete email accounts

Add an email account

Before you begin, you'll need to know the specific incoming (POP or IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) server settings for your email account.

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Settings icon.
  2. Select Accounts.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. Select the type of account to add.
  5. Type your Email Address.
  6. Tap Next.
  7. Type your Password.
  8. Tap Next.
  9. Verify the following details:
    • Username
    • Password
    • Server Address
    • Port
    • Encryption
    • SMTP Username (normally the same as the username above)
    • SMTP Password (normally the same as the password above)
    • SMTP Port
    • SMTP Encryption
  10. Tap Done.
  11. Your email is set up.

Delete an email account

You can delete unused or unwanted email accounts from your BlackBerry. Deleting unused or unwanted email accounts can reduce your monthly data usage, and allow your BlackBerry to run more efficiently.

NOTE: If you are using a corporate BlackBerry, your corporate network security settings may not allow you to delete email accounts. Contact your corporate network administrator for further assistance.

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Settings icon.
  2. Select Accounts.
  3. Select the Email address to delete.
  4. Tap Delete.
  5. Tap Delete to confirm.
  6. The selected email account is deleted from your BlackBerry.
