Provisioning a Polycom Sound Station IP6000
This article will guide you on how to provision a Polycom Sound Station IP6000.
You need to access Polycom Device Web Interface or Graphical User Interface (GUI). From the phone itself, get the Polycom’s IP address by following these steps:
Step 1:
Press the Menu button on the phone.
Step 2:
Press 2 (or select Status in the menu).
Step 3:
Press 2 again (or select Network in the menu).
Step 4:
Press 1 (or select TCP/IP Parameters in the menu)
Step 5:
Type the IP address displayed on the screen into an Internet browser on a computer within the same network as your phone.
NOTE: We use 10.4.111.4 as an example.
Step 6:
Click SIP in the top menu.
Step 7:
Enter your administrator User name and Password.
Step 8:
Enter the following information below:
Step 9:
Under Servers, look for Outbound Proxy.
Step 10:
Type in the Following Information in their respective fields:
- Address: sip10.ringcentral.com
- Port: 5090
- Transport: UDP only
- Local SIP Port: 5060 - 5090
Step 11:
Do not forget to click on Submit.
Step 12:
Click on Line.
Step 13:
Under Line 1, Look for Identification.
Step 14:
Type in the Following Information in their respective fields:
Address: the RingCentral Digital Line Phone Number
Auth User ID: Authorization ID
Authentication Password: Authorization ID
Step 15:
Under Line 1, Look for Server 1.
Step 16:
Type in the Following Information in their respective fields:
- Address: sip10.ringcentral.com
- Port: 5060
- Transport: UDP only
- Register: sip.ringcentral.com
- Callback mode: Contact
- Callback Contact: *86
Step 17:
Set the call backmode to Registration, and don’t forget to click on Submit.
You have now provisioned a Polycom Sound Station IP6000.
