Delete email accounts from your smartphone

You can delete unused or unwanted email accounts from your smartphone. Deleting unused or unwanted email accounts can reduce your monthly data usage, and allow your smartphone to run more efficiently.

NOTE: If you are using a corporate smartphone, your corporate network security settings may not allow you to delete email accounts. Contact your corporate network administrator for further assistance.

To delete a personal email account

  • From the Home screen, tap Email.
  • Tap Menu.
  • Select Settings.
  • Tap the trash bin icon at the top right corner of the screen.
  • Select the account to delete.
  • Tap Delete.
  • Tap Delete to confirm.

The selected email account is deleted from your smartphone.

Reset your voice mail password

Using your smartphone

Follow the steps below to reset your voice mail password using your smartphone.

  • Speed-dial 1 or dial your 10-digit mobile phone number.
  • Type your password when prompted.
  • Tap 4 for Personal Options.
  • Tap 2 for Administrative Options.
  • Tap 1 for Password Options.
  • Tap 1 to Change your Personal Password.
  • Type your old password.
  • Tap #.
  • Type your new password.
  • Tap # to confirm your new password.

Your voice mail password is reset.

Using another phone

Follow the steps below to reset your voice mail password using another phone.

  • From another phone, dial your mobile phone number. If you're outside your local calling area, be sure to dial 1 before the 10-digit number.
  • At any time during the greeting, tap * to go to the Main Menu.
  • Type your old password.
  • Tap 4 for Personal Options.
  • Tap 2 for Administrative Options.
  • Tap 1 for Password Options.
  • Tap 1 to Change your Personal Password.
  • Type your old password.
  • Tap #.
  • Type your new password.
  • Tap # to confirm your new password.

Your voice mail password is reset.

Send a picture message

Follow the steps below to send picture messages from your smartphone to another smartphone or mobile phone. For general information and instructions on how to send picture messages via email, see Picture Messaging support.

  • From the Home screen, tap Messaging.
  • Tap the New message icon at the top right corner of your screen.
  • Type one of the following in the Enter recipient field:
  • The name of the recipient, if they are already stored in your Contacts list.
  • North America destination: Type the 10-digit phone number.
  • International destination: Check the list of eligible countries worldwide then type 011, followed by the country code and the mobile phone number.
  • Email destination: Type the e-mail address. The message is delivered as Multi Media Message (MMS) and extra charges may apply (check your rate plan).
  • Type your message.
  • Tap the paper clip icon.
  • Select Pictures.
  • Select the folder which contains the desired picture.
  • Tap the desired picture.
  • Tap the Send icon.

Your picture message is sent.

Send a text message

Follow the steps below to send text messages from your smartphone to another smartphone or mobile phone. For general information and instructions on how to send text messages via email or the TELUS Website, see Text Messaging support.

  • From the Home screen, tap Messaging.
  • Tap the New message icon at the top right corner of your screen.
  • Type one of the following in the Enter recipient field:
  • The name of the recipient, if they are already stored in your Contacts list.
  • North America destination: Type the 10-digit phone number.
  • International destination: Check the list of eligible countries worldwide then type 011, followed by the country code and the mobile phone number.
  • Email destination: Type the e-mail address. The message is delivered as Multi Media Message (MMS) and extra charges may apply (check your rate plan).
  • Type your message.
  • Tap Send.
