Transferring calls via IP phones
Call Transferring is one of the many features of an IP phone that is useful to route callers to a specific extension or department. To learn how to do this, select your device for specific instructions:
To announce yourself before transferring a call, follow the steps below:
Step1:
While on a call, press the Transfer Key.
Step2:
Enter the Extension #, Local or Long Distance phone number.
Step3:
Press Send.
Step4:
Press Transfer.
To send the call without announcing the caller, follow the steps below:
Step1:
While on a call, press the Transfer Key.
Step2:
Press the Blind Key.
NOTE: This will allow the Caller-ID # to show.
Step3:
Enter the Extension #, Local or Long Distance phone number.
Step4:
Press the Send Key.
Cisco IP Phone
To announce yourself before transferring a call, follow the steps below:
Step1:
While on a call, press the Transfer Key.
Step2:
Enter the Extension #, Local or Long Distance phone number.
Step3:
Press Transfer.
To send the call without announcing the caller, follow the steps below:
Step1:
While on a call, press the Blind Key.
NOTE: This will allow the Caller-ID # to show.
Step2:
Enter the Extension #, Local or Long Distance phone number.
Step3:
Press the Send Key.
NOTE: You can also use the touch tone command by pressing ## + extension number when transferring a call.
